Testimony From Raven
Hello my name is Try Kunthea. I’m from Kompong Cham Province. I was born in a poor family in a remote area. When I was about five years old my family suffered an unfortunate accident. A fire engulfed our bamboo hut and I was burned on my face and neck while our parents were out fishing at the river at night to make a living. Since that time, the light of my life seemed to have been lost. With the bad scar from the burned on my face and neck, I was growing up broken as people around me looked at me and treated me very different. I had no hope, I had a million questions – why me, I was looked down to and felt like a rejected piece. 18 years later, I heard about a Korean Christian church from my cousin. And I accepted Christ Jesus in that time.
In 2017, I heard about Ravens Hope Cambodia that focusing on equipping the young ladies through leadership skills, Bible Study and Life skill training. I register but I was told it was closed and to please wait until the next term. When I heard that I felt very disappointed because I was waiting and praying for almost 2 years. I prayed and cried out to God and a few days later someone dropped out and I was accepted.
God is faithful and He knew I needed this. So finally, I registered in the 12 program. When we study, we separate into small groups and I enjoyed that and I continued to grow and learn a lot from the group. I learned about unity, love, flexibility, how to help and support each other, and especially I learned how to be humble, patient and cooperative with each other. I now know well who I am, I know who I was in the past, I know about my future, I know more about my gifts and my potential and I know about the strong points that God put in me. I would encourage you through this class you will feel confidence and know that wherever you are now is not the end of your journey but it is just the beginning that God is goanna bring you to the next step. I also believe that some part of each one of your lives may be similar to me and I believe through the Ravens Hope Cambodia training you will feel it’s really true and your life will completely change like mine has.
